Suspected meteor lands on beach near Tel Aviv – Looks familiar?
An unidentified object fell from the sky on a segregated beach used by religious beachgoers in Bat Yam on Saturday afternoon, Channel 10 reported.
Beachgoers heard an explosion and police forces arrived at the scene and closed the area.
No one was injured in the incident.
Police say the object was likely a meteor from outer space.
The small black object was taken to the Israel Geological Institute, where it will be analyzed.
A similar occurrence took place two years ago when a meteor lit up the sky over Petah Tikvah, prompting many calls to the police
