Six Israeli young professionals will participate in the G-20 Y Summit, which opens today, April 15th, at the Downtown Eaton Centre Marriott Hotel (525 Bay St.) in Toronto.
The Summit will welcome more than 100 prominent young professional (aged 25-45) from various fields as representatives from the G-20 countries and observer states. “The Toronto Summit is aimed at supporting the efforts of the G-20 leaders in their struggle to deal with the global economic and financial crisis, and its consequences.” said Ksenia Khoruzhnikova, Chair of the G-20Y Summit International Organizing Committee (IOC).
“We are hoping to contribute some creative ideas to the discussion,” said Karen Segal, Head of Israeli Delegation. “The organizers of the Youth Summit wanted the G-20 leaders to hear from a generation without borders, and as such they invited non-members of the G-20 to participate. We are very honored to be here.”
