OECD head meets PM, says members keen to learn from Israel
The member countries of the OECD are interested in learning from Israel and sharing information regarding fast economic growth, economic stability and low unemployment, the secretary-general of the organization, Angel Gurria, told Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Saturday night.
Gurria, according to a statement put out by the Prime Minister’s Office, said that Israel had worked hard to join the organization. The OECD formally accepted Israel earlier in the year, and Gurria is in the country to attend a special conference scheduled for later this week marking Israel’s formal accession to the organization.
